TimeItemWhoNotes
  • Dennis asked a few questions in Slack, please take a moment to respond.
    • If you are currently receiving serial issues, how do you use the caption, enumeration and chronology fields? (examples of what you put in them very welcome)
    • Are there any changes you'd make to how those fields worked, or different/additional fields you'd use if you could?
    • Do you create items for your serial issues?
    • Do you have summary holdings statements, and if so would you expect them to be updated on receipt? (edited)
 :03Dennis  Order history
  • Dennis has some mock ups based on feedback he wants to review with the group.
  • Mainly small changes
    • Feedback was it might be difficult to see what changes were made due to the number of accordions. Based on feedback, need to see not just the number of edits, but highlight the changes.
      • Change being proposed  is to show the field names for where edits happened.
    • These cards could get very long. This will be the information that users need to identify which version they need. By default, this field will be open to reduce the number of clicks. If this is a problem, we can give the option to collapse the accordion to make it easier to navigate.
  • 2nd comment was understanding what happened to a specific field over time. Example, receiving note, What has changed over time about the receiving...
  • Dennis would like a discussion on use cases, what changes happen in specific fields.
  • From Kristin Martin to Everyone 12:18 PM
    Wow
  • From Scott Perry (UChicago) to Everyone 12:19 PM
    I like it
  • From Lisa Smith, Mich State to Everyone 12:22 PM
This would be useful for times when some mysterious thing happens, and the record needs to be "rebuilt."
  • From Kimberly Pamplin to Everyone 12:29 PM
I think changing the publisher in the POL will break the instance connection.
  • From Lisa Smith, Mich State to Everyone 12:38 PM
+1 Dung-Lan - understood, but letting it soak in
  • From Lisa Smith, Mich State to Everyone 12:44 PM
Mich State notes vendor changes in the PO note field, publisher changes, etc in the POL notes field.
  • Dennis: There will be some accordions you wont see in the version history because they are separate from the po.
