Draft updated TC charter: 2023 Charter Draft Archived (and version with markup of changes)

NOTES: 

  • There were some comments on language - minor adjustments will be made
  • Discussed that detailed specifics are not appropriate for a Charter
  • CC Approved this and thanked the Tech Council for its efforts.

AWS has apparently ended its grants program, which saved us about three months of payments in FY22.  We should expect to pay full costs from now on, which is how we budget anyway.

I still do not have an explanation of last month's $5,000 jump in AWS costs.

Officer insurance: OLF has been looking into this but it was not possible to purchase until three tax returns had been filed.  OLF should be able to get this later in the year.


NOTES: 

  • Still hoping to hear back on the reason for the spike in AWS costs.
  • FOLIO's board seat on OLF expires this year but an "At Large" seat will be open in the next elections
  • Tom Cramer will provide an update from the OLF in a future meeting

NOTES:

  • Tom presented the draft charter for this group and the CC Approved it.
  • The group will meet in the same timeslot as the CC on the alternate weeks
  • Tom will put out a notification of the formation of this group inviting non-CC members to join if they'd like.
  • Note that while an open invitation is a great way to go, the size of the group needs to be monitored in order to be effective
