Filip continued walkthrough of prototype.
Users App > Permissions
Need to Limit permissions of circdesk worker so they may not use circ functions when they are not at the circ desk.
Permissions impact which apps you can access, what functions you can execute, and what information you can see.
Ability to Clone users and add sets or packages of permissions.
Manage permissions from General Settings App > App Settings. Ability to assign different levels of access. If a new App is installed, you need to assign permissions either with group rights or individual rights. Permissions may have scope to apply rights to certain locations.
Loan Rules
Searchable. Testable. Define rules for combinations of Location, User Type, Item Type. Need catch-all rules. Need ability to report on a transaction and display which loan rule was used. Need to be able to use Fixed Due dates. Calculated due dates need to refer to Library Calendar to account for closed days ...
Patron Profile Template
Some fields standard (non-removable), others can be added with standard data types like phone, email ...
Calendar App
Able to export events from Calendar (for example due dates).
Catalog App
Not yet complete. Just placeholder data now.
Scan
Check items out/Check items in/Automatic Mode.
Technical services staff may use scan for different purposes like building lists of things to send to a specific process.
Circulation may need ability to scan item to "Check Item status"
Automation App
Trigger, data, actions. Build scheduled jobs or reports. GUI interface. Advanced scripting options to be demonstrated later.
