Meeting Notes

The group went through introductions and discussed how best to communicate. Peter said that the "Discuss" page was best for engaging in conversations about issues, outside of the regular meetings. The e-mail list was best for communicating administrative business (meeting information, date changes, other announcements).

We then reviewed the charge. It's important to think beyond what we are familiar with in terms of reporting tools. Charlotte noted that Filip needs examples of what we do and why it's important. George asked if we could find ways to get at SUSHI-compliant electronic resource usage through FOLIO reporting, like the COUNTER usage statistics (BB1 and GR1 reports). Michael said that this is an example of something that we as a group could decide is important, and would document for Filip. In general, use cases are extremely helpful to convey the importance to the developers. (Charlotte said that she could create a folder on Google Docs in which to file our examples.)

Lydia suggested that we organize our examples by functional area.

Next meeting: participants think about the scope of their reporting needs and provide examples for posting to the Google Docs folder. Charlotte will give a demo of how post items to the folder and link these items to a work spreadsheet.
