Special Note Daylight Savings Time impacts on Meeting TimesIngolf

We will meet on Nov 5 as usual at 9 AM Eastern U.S. time (this will then be EST, not daylight saving time EDT, anymore). This will be 3 PM in central Europe (as usual).

Feature Requests for Reporting DatabaseAngela Zoss

Review of new wiki page created by Angela to capture Feature Requests for Reporting Database.

-Should these be entered into the FOLIO JIRA as future feature requests from Reporting SIG? (Holly will add them to JIRA as UXPROD Issues)

-Angela walked the group through each of these feature requests

Report Prototype SubgroupSharon, Nassib, Kevin, Tod, Angela

Update on meetings scheduled and plans. End-to-end prototype built. Will look at alternative ways to build the query using various reporting applications (e.g., BIRT, Tableau). Meetings tentatively planned for:

Wed Nov 7 from 3-4pm EST

Mon Nov 12 from 3-4pm EST

Mon Nov 19 from 3-4pm EST

Import-Export TabSharonUpdate on contacting Ann-Marie Breaux to see if any our reports on the Import and Export tab of the Reporting SIG Master Spreadsheet are already covered by functionality in development via the Data Import/Batch Uploader subgroup of Metadata Managment. Ann-Marie also suggested we review the list of record sources that this group identified as part of the Batch Loader/Data Import work:https://folio-org.atlassian.net/wiki/display/MM/Sources+of+Batch+Files
Real-Time Data ReportsAll

Reporting SIG members were asked at last week's meeting to identify reports that require real-time data which have not been identified as in-app, and bring those forward. We will review and discuss these reports.

-reports are highlighted in yellow on the Reporting SIG Master Spreadsheet

-themes: batch jobs, Ares reports, need to evaluate Consortia reports

-more work required on data warehouse infrastructure to provide reports with real time data

-streaming will not be ready until January 2019; "state changes" provided by streaming data would need to be added to the data model

-for now, Reporting SIG will review the reports that are not defined as in app reports and do require real time data with these questions in mind:

-does the report truly require real time data?

-can the report be provided as an in app report (requires talking with functional SIGs)?

-is the report functionality already being covered via other functionality (e.g., error reports from batch jobs)?

Prioritizing Your Institution's ReportsSharon Beltaine

In order to determine the order in which we will prototype our reports for the development of data models for the data warehouse, we need to prioritize them within each functional area (e.g., RM, RA, etc.). Please see the Prioritizing Reports page in the wiki for detailed instructions.

-This week, we will review our group's progress on prioritizing reports in the "import and export," "external statistics," and "resource mgmt" worksheets in the Reporting SIG Master Spreadsheet

-Monday November 12, 2018 is our target completion date

For this week: focus on metadata management, resource access, and user management. Also focus on identifying reports that require real-time data which have not been identified as in-app, and bring those forward.

Assigning Yourself to JIRA ReportsHolly Mistlebauer

Holly walked us through the process of assigning ourselves to our reports in the FOLIO JIRA System. Instructions are provided on this wiki page, which will also contain other JIRA info:  Working on a JIRA Issue

-review of JIRA report assignments

-Monday November 12, 2018 is our target completion date
