Project updates

The Reporting SIG is using small working groups to address priorities and complete our work.  Each week, we will provide updates to the Reporting SIG from these various reporting-related groups and efforts.

  • Community:
    • Follow up discussion where prototypes should be stored. Wiki for in development. Prototype when 'finished' moved to GitHub.

  • RA/UM Working Group:
    • Met for first time, went through clusters and came up with a plan for prototyping and getting everyone up to speed.
    • Clint submitted Jira ticket for rework of 'renewal date'
  • MM Working Group:
    • Hopeful for volunteers from MM Sig, Kevin to see about what Reporting will need to fill in between volunteers. Touch base with Laura, see which prototypes they want to work on and which do we want to start on, and few issues to follow up on Jira tickets.

  • RM/ERM Working Group:
    • Owen Stephens and Martina Tumwulla have both volunteered to join this group
    • We have invited Dennis Bridges, Acquisitions PO, to our next meeting on 2-18-20 to continue discussion started at WolfCon on in-app coverage for some RM LDP reports
    • Sharon and Scott working on UXPROD-2255 RM-Costs Cluster prototype
    • Sharon working on ERM Cost per Usage report prototype
    • Linda and Nancy working on UXPROD-2254 RM-Count Cluster prototype

Review of Updated Report Prototype PagesAngela

Angela has done some organizing of our report prototype pages to connect them with JIRA and use some standard conventions. Let's take a look.

  • Re-Organize of Prototype pages in the Wiki, now under the Groups
  • New LDPQURY project - tickets related to prototyping and query development from the Wiki pages. This allows us to create our own custom workflows to identify stages reports are at. "Components" to filter 'queries' or 'prototype'. Labels can be used to filter for different groups (resourceaccess, resourcemanagement, metadatamanagement, etc).
  • Owen suggestions on Summary on tickets, perhaps rename for easier browsability instead of all of the starting with 'Develop ...'

Time to Rank your Reporting Clusters

All

Reminder: The MVP project managers are interested in getting all the MVP tickets ranked by each institution. If your institution has still not ranked the reporting clusters, please urge them to do so soon. We need this for both MVP and prioritization for what reports to build next within the Reporting SIG. Thank you!

  • In Jira reports are REP, then they become grouped as Clusters, then UXPROD (rank these)
  • You can find all the report clusters in JIRA by searching on the report-cluster label
  • If you're not comfortable in JIRA, feel free to ask Sharon for a report cluster list
