A Special Interest Group (SIG) consists of practitioners from libraries and services providers that are interested in contributing to a specific functional area of the FOLIO platform. Many libraries who implement FOLIO choose to participate in one or more SIGs both to stay informed and to have representation in the project.
Implementers covers a variety of topics. However, more advanced or technical questions are often better addressed by the more specific/specialized SIGs.
Here is a quick guide to all the SIGS that are active as of November 2023. See the wiki home page for the most up to date information

SIG Starter Pack
If you don't know where to start, try checking out:
- Resource Access SIG
- Acquisitions SIG
- ERM SIG
- Metadata Management SIG
- Reporting SIG
- Implementers SIG
These cover most common library functionality, and have well-established members who can help connect you with the right resources for your questions.
SIGs by App
If you have a question that relates to a specific FOLIO app, these are the SIGs that (more or less) cover each app. There are plenty of exceptions, but these SIGs would generally be a good place to start.
|Bulk Edit||BELA Working Group|
(User Management SIG)
(Metadata Management SIG)
Bulk Edits and Lists App (BELA) Working Group is a good place to start.
Alternatively, you might be looking for the SIG for the type of record you're working with.

User Management SIG
If your question spans more than one app, you may want the Cross-App Interaction SIG.
If something is broken in FOLIO and you just need help, you may want the Support SIG.
If you don't know what you need, ask for direction on the Implementers SIG slack channel.
SIGs by Common Keywords
Which SIG you need to ask really depends on the question, but here are some common keywords and where you probably need to go to get answers.
However, if you're not sure where your question belongs, you can always ask on the Implementers SIG slack channel.
