Background Information

titleWhat is the current ILS at your institution?

OCLC LBS3, self hosted

titleWhat is the date of your fiscal year end? Please do not include a range of your fiscal year.

End of calendar year

titleHow is your implementation team organized?

Project manager is responsible for pre-launch testing and FOLIO community activities. The implementation of ERM and related modules will be managed by the e-ressources core team. "Real" project management will be implemented as soon as the library decides on  a Folio- roadmap beyond ERM.

titleHas your institution hired additional staff? How were they funded?

Not yet. When recruiting new staff we add LMS migration to the profile. We do not expect to receive extra funding, but would be able to take on additional staff for a limited time.

titleIs your institution planning to be hosted? Self-hosting? Still considering both options? Please explain.

Our FOLIO tenant will be hosted by VZG of GBV

titleIs your institution considering a partial implementation, such as the ERM first? Please explain.
We will start out with the ERM related modules because we want to integrate electronic resources and acqusition related module (orders, finances etc.) as well as core modules like inventory. If everthing works out we will consider migrating our legacy acqusition and fulfillment modules to FOLIO.

titleDoes your institution plan to run FOLIO in parallel with your current ILS? How long? Please explain.

In the first phase, FOLIO's ERM related modules will complement our legacy ILS. We expect that by implementing this subset of modules we will learn so much about FOLIO (and give it time to mature) that by the time we have ERM running we will be able to make a well founded decision whether to move to FOLIO completely.

titleHow sure are you of the plans described above? Why or why not?

We have secured the resources to do the implementation of ERM related modules as a test. As we have done this before, we are quite confident of this approach; it depends on the results whether we will be able to move to full productivity (and beyond)
